Who is Esau
Says Yahuah: yet I loved Ya`aqov, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
Yahuah might have hated Esau because Esau never prayed to or recognized Yahuah, unlike his brother Jacob who had multiple interactions with God. Additionally, Esau sold his birthright, a trait characteristic of the Edomites, who were known for their rebelliousness and attempts to subjugate the Judeans. This lineage of rebellion culminated in Herod, an Edomite, who tried to kill infant Christ and collaborated with the Roman Empire to oppress the Judeans.
